RSPN aims to engage young and energetic graduates as Young Development Professionals (YDPs) who have passion to highlight the impact of programme interventions on target beneficiaries i.e. pregnant and lactating women and children under 5 and inspire through their writings in the form of success stories, case studies, newspaper blogs, picture stories, short human stories for digital media.

YDP’s role:

The YDPs are expected to orient themselves with the nutrition sensitive component of PINS led by RSPN and the work done by implementing partners in the field. For this purpose, the YDP will be acquainted with the current communication methodology of the programme and will be facilitated in field travel so they can document it through stories, case studies, photographs and videos that will be developed as knowledge products for different audiences.

The YDPs will be stationed in Karachi with frequent travel to programme areas in Sindh.

Eligibility

-This programme is open to people below the age of 30, who have recently graduated or are currently pursuing a degree in humanities, social science research, media, communication, videography, photography or other related fields.

-The candidate should have good research, communication and writing skills and command over both

English and Urdu. Working knowledge of Sindhi is an advantage.

-The candidate must be willing to work for 8 weeks starting from the duration of their programme.

-The candidate should be ready and willing to travel to the programme districts in Sindh. PINS will facilitate and bear the cost of travel and accommodation of all YDPs while in the field.

-The candidate should have working knowledge of digital and social media (Facebook, Twitter,

Instagram etc.)

Certificate and Remuneration

Towards the end of the programme, the YDPs are required to present their work in the form of case studies, concept notes, photo/video stories as decided at the start of the programme with mutual consent of the supervisor and the YDP. Upon satisfactory completion of the programme, a certificate to the effect will be issued by RSPN PINS ER-3.

This is a paid programme, All YDPs will be paid a minimum monthly stipend of PKR 15,000, in addition to the cost of field travel, which shall be borne by RSPN.

Interested candidates are required to email a one page resume along with a brief (of maximum 500 words) to demonstrate their eligibility for the YDP programme to hr@rspn.org.pk by 15th May, 2019.
